Extensive research was done to study the network of Variegatus (spot and speckle) using different precedents such as ostrich eggs, egg foam etc. Continuing our research further on the basic precedent ‘lava rocks’ and studying its curves, negative n positive spaces and its formulation, the pavilion was designed in layers of the varied iterations of the surfaces of the rocks stacked together to create a variety of spaces.

Inspired by the basic system of a flip flop, the pavilion created a radical change and offered varied experiences in its three disparate settings by rotating in two different directions creating new dimensions every time from integrating smaller spaces together to introducing a singular bulky space. The extensive layering of the pavilion also provided a platform for various activities.
